Landrover Defender

Strangely I bought a Volvo, very comfortable and indeed no less tank-like as it is, it's not really random enough but I doubt my landlord or neighbours would appreciate a three and a half ton, NATO green, monster. Bearing in mind I did once go out to buy a newspaper one morning and came back with an identical Mitsubishi Lancer to the one I already owned I do have "prior" for this sort of craziness.
I've so far resisted adding any computers, flashy lights or other oddities to the Volvo yet. I even spent the money on joining the gym and really physically going! Scary huh? Anyway, I must keep checking this site http://www.mod-sales.com/

Fractal redered background tint

Well okay this one is computer related but I can't see it having any serious pratical use, I found a PHP script that uses the GD graphics library to render fractals. Stop laughing, it works quite well and for once my usual staunch hatred of the GD library (ask someone who works with me) has been suspended. It's not that I actually hated GD, it's probably well written and provides useful functionallity to PHP, it's just that everytime I'm asked/told to use it it's for completely the wrong job and my Engineering-side goes off an "right tool, right job" rant

So I'd like to bung this script into a crontab and have it produce a new background every hour or so, overlaying a filter to it make it close to white and putting in the background of this section. Might add a bit of decoration as long as it's not too busy I think.
